The Nursery ( part 1)

Having Cami Grace’s room done is a huge priority for me. I think that if I had her room finished I would feel better about the crazy reno mess the rest of the house is in. I’ve been working really hard trying to give her a clean, organized place to play and sleep, but things just keep happening to slow down my progress.

The Front Door Make-Over

Something that I think many people overlook is the importance of a front door with style. Your front door is often the first thing visitors see before they meet you. Our farmhouse came with this bad first impression.

While steel doors are more energy efficient, they lack the warm and friendly welcome I wished to greet my guests with. This door had no character or charm, made the entry very dark, and sported hardware in 1980’s builders grade gold. It was one of my least favorite things about the house, so you can imagine my excitement when I found the original Folk Victorian front door in the barn.
