We love it out here on the Kansas prairie. The wide open fields ensure the most breath taking panoramic sun rises and sun sets. It’s a lot like seeing them at the beach. At night the stars seem to multiply and shine brighter undaunted by city lights. We have only the birds singing and the wind blowing the trees to listen to. We can watch Cami Grace play in our (fenceless) yard without worrying about traffic or crazy neighbors.
When all the house projects are overwhelming me I just sit on the front porch, or go for a walk down our the gravel road. I feel such a peace out here when I take the time to stop, take a deep breath, and soak it all in. I can’t let life steal these moments from me.
This is why we came. To find a new beginning. To find peace.
